What’s inside my November Ipsy bag?

This month’s bags are so pretty! I received the gold one which is so perfect for fall! Let’s take a peek at what’s inside, shall we?

HD Perfecting Powder

I give it a 3 out of 5.

Why You’ll Love It

  • It’s translucent so you wont have that caked on baked on look.
  • No flash back on photos! Have you ever seen celeb photos where it looks like their face is covered in flour? There are ingredients in some powders that create that. This one, does not.
  • Easy to use. Just apply in your oily zones or all over if you’re really wanting your makeup to stay.

I have only used this one so far. I did like it but if I’m being totally honest I do feel like my setting powder from Maskcara, Vanilla Dust, is much lighter feeling and makes me feel like I’m wearing less makeup vs. more.

Also, Ipsy customers have a special link to save 20% on Manna Kadar Cosmetics this month. So, if you love their stuff, you can shop through your exclusive link in your Ipsy account.

Barfly Highlighter in Candlelit

I give it 4 out of 5.

Why You’ll Love It

  • SUPER easy to apply. No tools necessary unless you add a little too much and need to blend. In that case, just use a clean finger if you don’t have a beauty blender.
  • Easy to take along with you. It’s in a small tube a little fatter than lip stick.
  • It’s a creamy shimmer and it looks beautiful on.

I really like this. I do think it could be a little bit more pigmented, but I love cream makeup and this went well with my current routine. I used it above and under my brow and it looked really pretty. I also used it along the bridge of my nose.

Deluxe Mini Purse Sprayer

I give this 5 out of 5! I love this smell, SO MUCH.

Why You’ll Love It

  • You’ll be able to take it every where. Small enough to fit in your pocket or purse and you can even bring it in your carry on.
  • The smell. IT SMELLS AMAZING. My favorite smell for body spray in probably the last decade.

Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Feisty, Quirky, or Idol

I give this a 3 out of 5.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Fun fact: It’s made with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon river.
  • It stayed on all day long with no touch ups required.
  • Since it’s powder based, it was easy to use on top of my cream  based makeup
  • Highly pigmented.
  • Ipsy customers received one of 3 different shades, based on their preferences –  Feisty (dusty rose), Quirky (coral), OR Idol (nude shimmer)

I really liked this blush. I will say though that I easily used too much, before I realized how pigmented it is. So apply very little to begin. Be sure to tap off excess from your brush before applying to your skin. I am curious to try other shades.

Ultra Satin Lip in Calypso or Baracuda

I give this 3 out of 5.

Why You’ll Love It

  • It stays put for a couple of hours. You will need to touch up, fyi.
  • Colourpop has SO many shades to choose from, it’s easy to find one that is right for you.

I didn’t love the shade. I received Baracuda and I really felt like it aged my face and lips in a way that didn’t look good. I really want to love Colourpop because so many people that I know do, but I just haven’t found one of their lip products that I can’t live with out. They are really reasonably priced though and it’s fun to get the different shades to try out with out breaking the bank.
